We are selling our farm, and need to find a new home for our lovely palomino mare. She is docile, great in a mixed herd (she lives with cows/calfs, good around dogs, and has boarded in the field with geldings and donkeys before.) She is an easy keeper, stays out on pasture 24/7, keeps her weight on grass alone with hay in the winter months, barefoot trims only and has never had any issues with her hooves. She stays well for the farrier, and is ground-safe around children. I used to ride her extensively with a trainer, but stopped riding due to my own work/family schedule about 1.5 years ago. She hasn't been ridden or brought into condition since. I rode her both English and Western in an arena and on trails, lunging and long-lining experience. She would benefit from a knowledgable rider because she will need a refresher since it's been some time. We are not sure of her past prior to me purchasing her in Florida 4 years ago. She respects all types of fences, does not chew or crib, and loads well into a trailer. One thing to note, when she was living in Florida, she had a few occasional asthma flares, but has not had any since leaving Florida over 3 years ago. The vet has given her an all-clear, but because of this history we choose to keep her outside and away from any sources of dust as a preventative. She had a recent negative coggins and is UTD on immunizations. Charlies has been a much loved part of our family and I'd like to see her go to someone who will continue to give her an easy life. She'd be a great trail prospect or pleasure horse or companion. Price negotiable to the right home and for a quick sale due to our move. Must bring your own trailer or arrange transport because I currently can't haul.
