MCM Maxxis The Great affectionately known as “Maxx” is a 2016 Bay AQHA gelding that stands 15.0HH. If you’re looking for a well broke, personable, and soft gelding inside of the arena, look no further! Maxx has had 1 owner his entire life until us, and was leased out for several years for a little girl to be shown in 4H! Maxx would absolutely thrive in another 4H / show type home, or even relaxing with a casual weekend warrior! He is the ULTIMATE All Arounder! Halter, hunters, ranch riding, ranch trail, he WILL excel at it all! The arena is Maxx’s FAVORITE place to be! You can ride him western, english, or even bareback! He has had roughly 120’s Days of a professional tuneup between our barn and his previous owners. He is soft, polished and ready to go! He has been great for all levels of riders in the arena! He WTC with ease, transitions off of seat, leg and voice commands. He pivots 180’s or a 360’s, side passes, and backs up as well. He collects himself well and rides around cute and could easily stand out in the low level Hunters or ranch riding. He is really the perfect partner for a kiddo who needs the ultimate All-around show horse! He is soft in mouth and even rides around bridle-less great, and has a fantastic neck rein! His simple lead changes have been on point, and he is confident enough to step up and finish out into a flying change. This gelding is extremely willing and easy to teach anything to! We have taught him how to stretch out for mounting, as well as side passing to the mounting block, fence or object. Maxx absolutely loves to be ridden and you can ride him for hours every day, or once every two weeks and he will put his head in the bridle every time! Maxx has seen and done many things including carrying the flag, riding confidently through traffic, and over obstacles. We have also exposed him to cattle and roped and doctored a few yearlings off of him. He also started on the barrels as a 2-3 year old! He will truly do it all! Out on the trails, Max is sure footed and goes up and down all the terrain and over all of the logs and thick brush. Maxx will cross the ponds or the creeks! Maxx is the most confident out on the trail with another horse. When by himself, if he is unsure of a crossing he will stop and sometimes want to turn around or hesitate. We notice he doesn’t do this if he is following another horse, and think it is due to minimal exposure to rough terrain and minimal trail exposure prior to us purchasing him. We have worked on this, but believe if someone plans on trail riding long distances, by themselves, they will have to work with him through this. He is definitely a horse that is most confident when other horses are around. Maxx is great back at the barn! He stands great for the farrier, and is a great patient for the vet! He self loads, and follows you on the trailer, as well as backs off. He saddles up with ease, clips with no sedation needed, and loves a good bubble bath! He is great in mixed he
