Respectable ground manners, easy to lunge, stands to be mounted, ties, bathes, and hauls well. Barefoot with solid feet and stands for farrier. Gets along with geldings and mares in a pasture setting, middle of the herd order. No health issues or soundness issues. Dental, Coggins & Vaccinations UTD January 2026 Umi was started at 3 and had incredible training from a young age. He lived and worked on a farm doing ranch hand projects, roping cattle and was also their kids mount (that sometimes even rode double). He has the start of reining (spins and sliding stops), opens gates, side passes and leg yields. Nothing phases him on the trail or over obstacles. He goes through water, thick brush, dirt mounds and more. Incredibly desensitized to pretty much anything you can think of. Currently in dressage training full time. Just had 2 weeks with a western trainer who rode him miles and miles on the trails (he loved him and had no issues). He is ridden western and english, he doesn’t mind whatever tack you throw on him. Incredibly smooth and consistent gaits, easy to ride on the trails confidently all day long. Would be a super fun competitive mount in any discipline you want to take him or just a fun at home ride. He is a blast! Take him out on the trails confidently by himself WTC or with others, he doesn’t mind either way. Ridden off site consistently in different indoor/outdoor arenas and trails. Same off property as he is at home. In your pocket puppy dog that will come to meet you at the gate and follow you around. Not barn/herd sour and loves to be doted on. Currently ridden in a 3 piece lozenge eggbutt bit, Mullen mouth eggbutt, and in a rope halter. Has been ridden in the past in a shank and spurs. Rides out nicely on a loose or consistent contact. Umi would make a very reliable arena or trail horse for his new person. Low/mid Fives (x,xxx) Showings available in person or virtually.
