This delicious little nugget warrants no introduction but we’ll give you one anyway. Sunnyside Njord’s Fernando was born on January 29, 2026 to twice imported Danish and German champion red dun stallion Njord Halsnaes and the lovely, tall, grey Canadian imported mare, Bluebird Lane Phoebe who has a list of attributes of her own. Fernando boasts incredible Danish and German ancestors such as Rann, Pikant Halsnaes, Plutonikk, Mogly, Haugtind, Illiano, and Orka…all champions in their own right. And when you look at him, you know.
Fernando is a large, brown dun (red and grey recessive) colt with a lovely neck and head boasting large, beautiful soft eyes. His elegant neck attaches delightfully to his robust body held up by his fantastic legs with ample bone and hoof. Nando is a very proportionate colt of outstanding type consistent with the standards of the horse of the motherland. He is personable, inquisitive, athletic and stoic, showing promise at even this early of age.
We suspect that he will be tall and of substantial, versatile build. His ancestors are and were champions. At any discipline, Fernando will be too.
