It breaks my heart that I’m having to part with this horse. My husband has been out of work since October and I can’t afford a project. Thunder is born gentle and wishes he was the size of the mini next door. I can trust him on the ground with people who have never handled a horse in their life. Always respects space, doesn’t give you trouble when diving for grass, great for the ferrier and is bare foot! Ridden thunder has a nice slow western jog and can comfortably do a walk trot and canter. He has had a history of bolting when scared but comes back to you. I don’t trust him with an anxious rider or a beginner since they make rider errors that might cause him to feel trapped. He needs calm hands and someone that can sit through any silliness. This is a big horse. He’s easy in the right hands. Rides in a bosal, bit, English saddle, western saddle all of it. Loves liberty and can go off of intention and energy. He's not dull even though he’s gentle and kind. Nosies, items, cars, spooky things don’t faze him. He’s a champ at a desensitizing clinic. He would excel on a lead as a therapy horse. Having someone on the ground always centers him. He is able to go out alone or in groups on the trails. Prefers to be in front. I’m not looking to make money on him I just want him to find his person. I never sell horses and this isn’t my forte. Having folks I don’t know ride him makes me nervous. I’m selling as is.
