Meet Estrella (“Star” in Spanish), a stunning 11-year-old grey Azteca mare (Andalusian/Quarter Horse cross) who’s been a beloved ranch favorite for years. Standing approximately 15 hands she’s bold, athletic, and eye-catching with her flowing grey coat and confident presence. Her Story Estrella was bottle-fed as an orphan foal after her dam passed during birth. Her original owner hand-raised her from day one, purchasing her as a foal 11 years ago. This early bonding made her exceptionally people-oriented, trusting, and willing to please—truly a “heart horse” personality. Training & Versatility Recently restarted with a dressage focus, she’s been in consistent training for the past 6 months. She shines in the arena with elegant movement, collection, and a willing attitude. On the trail, she’s steady and brave—happy alone or in a group, crossing water, navigating obstacles, and handling traffic without fuss. She’s suitable for dressage, trail riding, working equitation, or light ranch work. Always sound historically, zero maintenance (no joints, no ulcers, no special shoes), and rides in a snaffle. Current Situation & Price Reduction A recent pre-purchase exam revealed a tiny pinhole-sized cyst in her left coffin bone (non-articular, no lameness noted). She’s been completely sound her entire life with no issues, and the finding is minor—many horses live and perform well with similar small cysts. Due to this disclosure, her price has been significantly reduced—she’s now seeking her forever home at a buyer-friendly level. Pics/videos contact Al at 858-833-0540
