O BAR ROCK MY CHIC 4-Year-Old AQHA Black Mare 15.1 hands Helena, MT Please read the full ad. I tried to answer most common questions below. Phoenix is a really nice, solid young mare that I’ve owned and brought along for the past two years. I buy quality prospects, start them the right way, and place them in homes that fit them well. She has been an absolute pleasure to develop. I purchased her directly from her breeder, and she has been handled correctly since she was a foal. She’s never been pushed or rushed, just brought along consistently and correctly. She’s a granddaughter of Corona Cartel through Mito Corona, with strong ranch and cow breeding on the bottom side (Don Juan Valdez / Double Doc). She’s athletic, quick-footed, and has a good brain to go with it. She’s coming along nicely and has a solid foundation: • Loping correct circles • Nice, correct stop • Started on the barrels • Hauled to multiple arenas with no issues • Trail ridden extensively, including backcountry miles • Taken on week-long Bob Marshall pack trips • Been on overnight trips • Led pack strings and ponied other horses • Can be ridden bareback and stays quiet She stands tied well, has been blanketed, and handles new places confidently. She’s easy to catch and good to be around. She’s been turned out with mares and geldings and settles in easily. She’s not mareish and has a steady temperament. She’s sound and healthy. Strong feet, never needed shoes. On a regular farrier schedule and good for her feet. Wormed spring and fall. Dental scheduled for March 25. She’s the kind of mare you can continue in whatever direction you choose barrels, ranch versatility, mountain riding, or just a solid all-around partner. With her pedigree and mind, she’d also make a nice future broodmare. Pre-purchase exams are welcome at buyer’s expense. Low five figures. Serious inquiries only, please. Call or text: 406-240-0399
