Captain 👨✈️ very fun and friendly gelding with a big personality, eager to go to work and bring it! This class clown needs a partner in crime! He’s got loads of trail riding under his belt and will go anywhere you point him. Factly you can’t keep him off things. He’s got a very calm but entertaining demeanor, he’s the guy in the pasture to chase everyone with the feed bag then come to help himself to your beer. He’s not the slightest bit spooky will hit the trails solo or in a group, he can be ponied or ponied off of, I use him for a lot of youngsters. He rides responsively in a halter and lead rope bareback or in a basic snaffle with English or western tack. We have found him to enjoy exploring trails above all else and welcomes obstacles. As of recently he has been working on a cattle ranch and taken to it nicely. He would be happy to continue to do that or I bet he would also be happy to work a cow for fun weekend events. We have dabbled with a little jumping and I bet he would excel there as well at a low level. He’s got a nice neck rein and three lovely gaits that are easy to ride. Approximately 6yrs old he’s standing 14.3hh with very nice bone to him, with great feet zero soundness issues and will most likely not require shoes on average trails or for the arena but he is currently fully shod out doing cattle work. He has zero issues loading, trailers, ties, and bathes, just overall very easy to handle. Will meet you at the gate every time or come find you if you are trying to clean water buckets or repair fencing. This guy is missing his right eye and I would guess that happened pretty early on in his life as it in no way seems to be an issue. He’s not spooky on that side and we in no way have had to adapt anything for him. This horse has no behavior problems or trauma just a nice clean slate to and more training to and enjoy, he loves being around people and will always give his best effort. He’s good around and to trail ride with dogs, among traffic and atvs. I see the value in keeping him and he is a great DD for my beer drinking trail riding weekends but I think he has more to offer someone and would like to get out more. Ideally a savvy teen or avid rider would thoroughly enjoy him, he is beginner safe and not a hot horse but he enjoys doing new things, and can get bored. I would like to find him a home where he gets out as much as possible and if the home teaches him to sit and allows him to move into the living room with the dog that would be right up his alley! 5,🥕🥕🥕’s obo.
