Tanner is a gorgeous and thick made grade quarter horse type who would look great in local fun show halter classes. But he excels on the trail, he's not spooky, moves out, rides well with other horses in front, middle, or back. Pros: Best horse I've ridden for navigating big down hill riding, drops his hip and goes slow and easy. Thick, heavy-boned and can carry larger riders. Tanner is an experienced trail horse who will also ride out alone. We've been to Shawnee National Forest camping and riding, we go on local trail rides and he is traffic safe. Loves attention and comes when called, easy catch, good for farrier hoof trimming. Stalls well or pasture kept. Stands for mounting from a block or on the ground. Knows and performs ground work well. Cons: Can be anxious when hauling and sometimes when first riding off. He is the type of horse that gets better the more you work with him, which is why I would recommend a short refresher to get him ready for your spring riding. He dislikes being shod, but needs fronts or boots. I use Cavallo Size 3 Simple Boots on him and he does great in them. Reduced for quick, no hassle sale. I have another horse and don't need the cost of two.
