Guys, I want to introduce you to one of my best friends! Martin is a gorgeous, dappled Buckskin 15hh 3-year-old MFT Cross gelding!! We have had Martin for almost a year now. I bought Martin from a good friend of ours, Mother, who had raised him since he was a baby. She put a good foundation on Martin and made our job easy. He came to us willing and smart. When I say smart, I can’t stress enough how smart he is. I swear you could teach him anything. He’s a very quick learner and wants to do new things and please his person. We have carried Martin with us everywhere. Camping trips all over, big and small group trail rides, countless trips to town, and a few local shows back in the fall. It didn’t take me long to put him in with my personal string of horses. These are the horses I normally spend a lot more time with, and they just get a little more usage and time. Martin is extra personable! He has that bigger-than-life personality. You don’t catch him; he catches you, and will follow you until the end of the earth unless he gets distracted and curious. He may wander over and check something out, but don’t worry, he will be back! He handles better than most dogs. Ground manners are excellent. In your pocket, but respectful. Lunges both directions and will lunge at liberty in a round pen or arena. Ties out perfectly. Great for a farrier and is easy to clip and bathe. Martin will side pass over to be mounted. Always stands dead still. Very responsive to your seat and leg cues. Side passes and half passes are better than most QH, and I’m not exaggerating. It really makes life easy. Opening gates and navigating around obstacles on trails has never been so easy. Martin is very good Gaited; he has a very, very smooth, ground-covering running walk, and he shakes his head with every stride. He also has one of the best lopes you will ever sit. He has very smooth, easy transitions out of a walk or his gait. Has a very good woa as well. Very, very good mouth. Very soft and easy. Set him and leave him. Flexes both sides and at the poll. Great back as well. One hand neck reins as well. He is outstanding in the woods. Navigates up and down anything. Rides anywhere in a group. Crosses all types of water, fallen trees, and slippery rocks. Great around dogs, wildlife, and livestock. Absolutely traffic safe. All I can say is if you want something young that will last you for many, many years, that will check all the boxes, and those other ones you didn’t even know you needed. Martin is definitely the horse you don’t want to miss out on. Please feel free to call or text with any questions and set up a time to come out for a test ride.
