Meet Goldie she is a registered Tennessee Walking Horse Mare. She is 6 years old and sticks at 14.3 hands tall, but she is stout so she can carry a bigger rider. Goldie is smooth as glass with her gaits. She stays in her gait on a loose rein so you can just sit back and enjoy the ride.
She does great out on the trails and will go anywhere you point her down steep hills, up steep hills, through creeks, rivers, and over logs and bridges. She doesn't mind wildlife and is not easily spooked. She is a safe mount that I would trust putting a beginner on and having them follow me along behind on. She takes care of her rider.
She has good ground manners stands tied good, loads in a trailer and hauls good. She picks up her feet good. Stands good for tacking and mounting. She is easy to catch and friendly. Gets along in the herd and is on the lower end of the pecking order.
Goldie is a no nonsense get her done type of horse. So she's fun, safe, and reliable. She rides away from home alone and rides fine in a group front back or middle. She is an easy keeper so NO maintenance required. She has tough feet and can travel barefoot.
She is NOT hot at all. She can keep up with gaited horses, but she is also content to hang back with quarter horses. She'll go the speed you want and stay smooth doing it.
