Seeking the right partner for a very special, experienced, Mounted Patrol Certified Spotted Saddle Horse. WindDancer (“Winnie”) is a registered Spotted Saddle Horse I purchased as a green 3-year-old from McNatt Farms. Over the past 8 years, she has developed into a well-trained, seasoned trail horse with extensive real-world experience. In July 2025, we certified with Mounted Patrol, completing a rigorous program that included: • Opening/closing gates, crossing tarps, map directions and interactions with park balls et al • Riding in all group positions (lead, middle, drag) • Crossing obstacles, Z forward / backwards • Dragging logs, cans, sidepassing • Exposure to bikes, sirens, and firecrackers She has been ridden hundreds of miles through Morgan Territory Regional Preserve, regional and national parks, and the High Sierra backcountry over raging waters and steep granite. Winnie camps confidently in groups, and adapts to new environments with ease. She is sure-footed and loves the trail. Personality & Fit: Winnie is intelligent, expressive, and engaging—a true “sweet diva.” She is affectionate, curious, and always the first to meet you at the gate. She ground ties, high lines, and has had some liberty work. She is also a sensitive, she can be laid back or encouraged to a speedy gait or canter. She requires a confident leader who embraces natural communication/horsemanship. Trained to level 2 Parelli and beyond. She responds best to clear leadership and will take advantage of inconsistency. Because of her sensitivity, she can mirror handler energy (for example, during loading), so a calm, assured presence is important. She is inconsistent in trailer and I believe it is because of my nervous energy with the trailer. She has had no issues with trainers and is not afraid of the trainer. Like all horses, she has my number 🙄 Care & Condition: • UTD on vaccines Spring ‘26), dental (8/25), and farrier (every ~6 weeks) • Stands well for routine care • Experienced with bodywork (loves Masterson Method and enabled deep bonding for us) Why Available: This is a thoughtful decision. Winnie has been an incredible teacher and partner. I am now transitioning to a different horse and training a 4 yr old to match my husband’s horse for our retirement journeys). I am committed to finding Winnie a home where she will continue to thrive, be loved and cared for and prefer she has pasture. Serious inquiries only – $10,800 OBO
