Stjarni from Tolthaven is a beautiful 2013 registered Icelandic gelding (US2013104780). He is five-gaited (pace not trained) and an easy tolter who can effortlessly maintain the gait over miles of trails. He has clear trot, canter, and a long, swinging walk. He's a been-there-done-that kind of horse, goes alone on trails or mixes well with a group ride, is well-mannered on the ground and under saddle, and an absolute pleasure to ride. He is schooled in basic dressage, light to the aids, and a good balance of sensitive and sane. He has been to the MN Horse Expo multiple times, including the drill team. He was shown once as a green horse and is competition/sport quality if that's something a rider wanted to pursue. His father was a first-prize stallion (IS1996156333 - Stígandi frá Leysingjastöðum II) and his mother was a second-prize mare (IS1994258606 - Ronja frá Flugumýri). Some of the “extras” he is also trained in beyond regular riding: ponying (both ponying other horses and being ponied), he leads anywhere with no halter with just a hand under his cheek, easy to trailer load, picks up his feet as soon as you lean over or with just a light touch on the leg, easy to shoe, easy to catch, and has always been healthy and sound. He also has experience in a variety of event and trail situations. He is UTD on shots and has a current negative Coggins test. No allergy or bug issues and an easy keeper with no known health issues.
