Buttercup is coming 5 year old stunning buckskin mare. She is 3/4 Andalusian 1/4 Friesian and right around 15 hands tall. She is cute headed. Pretty neck. She is put together nicely. She moves gracefully. Buttercup loves attention and is very sweet. She loves my kids doting on her. Buttercup is in foal--due at the end of April or early May. She is bred to a big bay Andalusian stallion for a 7/8 Andalusian foal. Buttercup was started under saddle at around 3 years old then put on the back burner. We bought her last summer. We just had her restarted under saddle and she is quiet as can be and fun to cruise around on. She walks, trots, loves, stops pretty good. She wants to please. She has been ridden down the dirt road/trail a few times and into the creek. She has been around cows and sheep a bit. She has a long stride and a smooth trot and lope. She is gonna be a nice horse when she is finished. She has impressed us so far. My trainer loves her. She moves beautifully. I think she would make a cute cowboy dressage horse. I was just gonna use her for trails and turn her into a family horse--ranch horse 4h etc.was my plan. But I have two young horses who both got started under saddle and only time to finish one out realistically. The reason she is for sale is--I got 2 horses at the same time last summer from the same person. Both are so quiet and love bugs. Really difficupt to pick a faborite between them. Both got started under saddle over the winter. Buttercup was bred in the spring before I got her and the other mare is not. Being real with myself and knowing how many other horses ive got, I dont have the time to finish 2 young horses and I really dont need a foal--just riding horses, and my kids are too green to help finish young horses--so it's all on me, and I find that it would be in my best interest to sell one and let someone else finish her. She is too nice of a horse to not be someone's favorite. She is a doll. My trainer said she is a born broke type. She is just a fun smart horse. I have found her out in her pen dragging a huge tarp around after a wind storm blew it in. She is cute and smart and pretty quiet but not a dead head. I have photos and video.
