14.1 Gypsy Cross Gelding Five years old Kestrel is a versatile cob that is fun, handy, and packed with personality. He hacks out alone or in company and is reliable around cattle, traffic, wildlife, and farm equipment. He rides, drives, and line drives through the cattle country with his dog and enjoys the sights. He’s happy exploring trails and open fields and rides comfortably in both English and Western tack. He is a lovely, willing jumper with a bright future in a variety of disciplines. Current rider is 5’8”. He has been regularly foxhunting this season, hunting 1-2 times per week. Has hunted in second and third field in big country. He handles hounds, groups of horses, and natural country, and happily W/T/C in company while popping over natural fences with an honest attitude. He crosses bridges, streams and rivers, is good in Rocky/rough terrain, and can do the hills with no issue. He is up for the task of taking on a days work of Foxhunting, long trail rides, or otherwise long working days or for the shorter, quick days. Kestrel is also beautifully broke to drive. He stands patiently for harnessing and hitching, is soft in the lines, and responds well to voice commands whether you’re strolling at the walk or trotting around the farm. With his friendly disposition, capablitity, and true all-around potential, Kestrel is the type of cob that fits a wide range of riders. He would make a fantastic partner for an older junior or adult looking for a fun, versatile horse to hunt, trail ride, drive, and enjoy, but would also make an excellent event prospect as well. Suitable for intermediate riders and above.
