Pony Mare - in her 2️⃣0️⃣s . Shes 3️⃣4️⃣ - 3️⃣5️⃣" at her withers. Not sure about her history. She came from an auctionsale and when we got her, she had a saddle on. We have not done anything further with her (driving/riding wise) as we just got her to be a companion. She will stand tied for grooming/bathing, lead, load, haul. She seems sensitive to very fine shavings but does well as long as she isn't continuously kept in a stall (or maybe its some allergies/asthma.) When she's comfortable with you, she is extremely sweet and loves to nuzzle you & gets friendly quickly when snacks are involved lol. Doesn't mind being around tractors and ATVs. We have only had her around horses/mini horses and she is low on the totem pole... Not sure if she's been around other livestock. She doesn't have the best conformation. Not sure what type of life she lived prior to coming to us. Used way too hard, way too long/early or maybe she was born this way? Regardless - shes a very kind soul who is looking for a soft place to land. She is bowed in at the knee/toed out at the rear. Possibly too upright on the fronts. Her rear issues are making her rear end slant down below her withers. She's definitely not straight but doesn't seem to have any issues. She walks, trots and even lopes when she's feeling frisky. She's been on a dry lot since we've owned her. She gets fed feed 2x daily and is on a grass hay. She has kept at a good weight as well. Ive never had her on grass pasture. She does go out daily, weather permitting and comes in every evening. She keeps well in a stall and is easy to catch. She needs to be a companion pony only! No riding or driving. Located near Elwood IN.
