We have made the really hard decision due to no fault of his own, to sell our guy PSR Showdown at Sundown aka Tombstone. He is a 4 year old registered/microchipped Chilean Stallion prospect. He is a loud grulla, having all four white socks and large blaze. He should top out right at 14h (Chileans are usually between 13.2-14.2). Keep him a stud to breed Chileans or can be bred to AQHA/APHA mares to make Arriadors. Or of course would make a wonderful gelding. I’ve owned him since he was weaned and he’s never been sick, injured, or lame. He is 100% sound. He can be a little sensitive to flies (gets itchy) but I make sure just to use fly boots and a fly mask for him. He is exactly what I envisioned for my first stallion. He is in your pocket and low man on the totem pole in our group herd setting (living with a mix of mares and geldings). Never bites or kicks. Just a really laid back little guy. He leads and ponies. He stands excellent for the vet and good for the most part for the farrier (every so often likes to pull his front feet away but squares up easily). Excellent for grooming getting feet cleaned. Loads and unloads in the trailer like a pro. Hauls quiet. We have ponied him out on trail, taken him to multiple school farm days (around kids, traffic, blow ups, food trucks, carnival stuff), and have used him for ponying, grooming, and ground obstacle course lessons for our students. He’s been hauled to barrel races and around cows. We’ve also tacked him up and sat on him a few times. He takes everything in stride. He’s ready to be started under saddle and can go in any direction. Chileans are getting more popular in working equitation and cow horse events in the US. His half brother (PSR Counterfeit Chrome) cleans up in reining and cutting and was just at the Midwest Horse Fair. His half brother was also in Western Horseman magazine along with his trainer Marcelo Guzman, whom I was originally planning on sending Tombstone to train with in Ohio. Marcelo has been promoting the breed in many disciplines showing what these amazing little horses can do. Tombstones sire is a money earning Reiner and his dam is being used for barrel racing/gymkhana lessons. Chileans are one of the oldest stock horses of the americas and have 400 years of extremely strict breeding. They are free from genetic diseases and are built to last. Chileans were bred for it all including cow work, endurance, and rodeo. They are short and stocky but quick on their feet but most importantly bred to think. Chileans are naturally collected and make great little dressage horses and are also naturally balanced making them great for jumping. They are also catty making them great in the cow pen. Truly just an amazing all around horse breed.
