If you are looking for one the entire family can enjoy, then take a look at Dusty. He is a gorgeous buckskin gelding, 15.1hh with tons of shape and the color that will get you noticed everywhere you go. Dusty is guaranteed to be safe and gentle, and has never offered to buck, rear, bite, kick or take off. He is the perfect age at 16 years old, old enough to have been there and done that but with plenty of life left and zero health or soundness issues. He came off of a ranch in South Texas, where he was originally the foreman’s horse and then spent years babysitting all the grandkids and visitors to the ranch. He has been used for all phases of ranch work, including dragging calves, doctoring cattle out in the pasture, and sorting pairs. Dusty has an excellent neck rein and smooth gaits, making him easy for a novice to ride. He always seems to know who is on his back and takes care of his rider, staying slow and steady for those who need it but he will step it up and move out for the more experienced riders. There is literally nothing at all that bothers him or spooks him. My 10 year old son rides Dusty everywhere, and he has played basketball off his back, flown a drone around him, ridden him backwards and sideways, and done so many other crazy kid things and Dusty has never gotten scared of any of it. He is as solid as they come! Dusty is the same horse every time you ride him, whether it is once a year or once a week. He rides just as good bareback with a halter as he does with a saddle and bridle. He rides great out on trails as well as in the arena, and is not spooky, barn sour, or herd sour. Dusty is the perfect horse for a young cowboy wanting to learn how to rope and do ranch work, as he is very forgiving, but he is just as happy ambling along the trails as he is working. Dusty has excellent ground manners, is easy to catch, and gets along perfectly with all other horses. I trust him 100% around my boys and he is very careful when they are working with him. He will ride out alone as well as with a group, will happily lead or follow, and has been ridden down the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it. He just had his teeth floated, feet and coggins done, and was wormed, so he is all ready to go. CHECK OUT HIS VIDEO AT: https://youtu.be/N1nNFYQgX8k Asking $12,500.
