A really fun, lovable guy looking for his next owner with more time to give him. “Salute” is a 13yo, 15.3h gelding and a true all arounder... athletic, kind, and the type to form a deep bond with his rider. Well bred, registered Westfalen with upper level dressage and jumper lines.
He has primarily been trained in dressage (W/T/C, lateral work, green lead changes), with additional experience over fences (3’+ coursework), hacking through fields, paperchasing, advanced groundwork, and more. He’s had many years of consistent riding and is well educated, but is naturally sensitive (in a good way) and does best with a quiet, patient rider who takes the time to get to know him.
Salute is easy to handle in the barn, great to trailer, and very independent... never barn sour or buddy sour, and happy to ride out alone. He has been a shared and well loved horse for a mom/daughter pair and is now looking for his next home with someone who has more time for him.
He is a really special horse who will only go to the right situation with his next person. Listing price reflects that he has been mostly out of work over the past year due to pregnancy/new baby and rider health limitations. No health or lameness issues and an easy keeper.
