Tico Carrizo, aka Tico, ia a 15.2hh Hanovarian Warmblood Cross gelding foaled in May 2004 from the highly-respected Chocolate Horse Farms. Tico has been an accomplished man in his youth, and is now looking to land in a loving home for retirement.
He has been a successful horse, previously competing in Beginner Novice/Novice levels and training up to Training levels in eventing. He's a "been there, done that" kind of man, and is ready to settle down into a loving home for his golden years. He is all-too familiar with the blue ribbons & champion trophies. He has been ridden in eventing (dressage, jumpers, cross-country), hunter, hunter under saddle, and equitation classes. He is a confident, go-with-the-flow horse. He is definitely more of a "kick and go" ride, but if you point him at a jump or give him a cue, he will take you there without fuss. I can ride him over an intense 3ft jumping course and then throw my beginner-level 9 year old sister on him immediately after to cool off without batting an eye. He has virtually 0 vices, and is a pretty bullet-proof pony.

- Has previously been English (eventing) under saddle, but adapts easily to quiet western rides without fuss
Tico has no history of major medical issues and has been a generally low maintenance, healthy boy for our 10 years together. He was a highly decorated show pony in his youth & teen years, but is no longer ideal for intense training & competition. He is sound and comfortable to light rides, trail hacks, and companionship. Tico has been the best horse I've owned in our 10 years together, and deserves the best retirement home with a young rider to show the ropes to or a retired rider looking to find a soulful companion.

- Tico Carrizo's purchase contract will include a "first right of refusal" appendix.
- Tico is up to date on all core vaccines & is shod.
