-Coming 4 year old registered and papered Missouri Fox Trotter

Background:
Purchased at auction in March 2026 at the 4J Horse sale in Missouri with the intention of becoming a dependable mountain trail and pack horse, this gelding has all the raw ingredients to get there — he just needs someone to continue his journey. Due to the unexpected opportunity to purchase 2 other more experienced Tennessee Walkers as a package, Ziggy is now up for sale as we have more than we need. He hasn’t had more than a handful of formal training sessions since he arrived in Colorado, leaving you with a clean slate to finish your way. He is quite lovely in an arena setting. We have not done much outside, yet.
💡 Temperament:
He can be a bit pushy at times and is learning spacing and manners. His “fits” are limited to a bit of head tossing — nothing dangerous — and there’s no meanness here (think all bark and no bite teenage girl🤣💁♀️). He’s genuinely sweet, affectionate, and loves attention. With consistency and a confident handler, this is the kind of horse that can truly shine.

🏡 Ideal Home:
Best suited for an intermediate or experienced horse person who understands young horses and can provide structure, time, and training. This horse is eager to interact with people and wants a job! He would benefit to go to a home actively working with a trainer or someone that is experienced with younger horses. He’s not finished — but he’s absolutely worth it. The video with the kids riding him is from his time at 4J where he received 120 days of training prior to their annual auction. They had the kids riding him in a controlled environment. We believe he would need more training to be ready for kids, but could be back to that level quickly with the right person training him consistently. Price may go up as training and time on the trail increases.
