Galahad spent the first 14 years of his life blissfully unemployed, living outside with his friends and minding his own business.
Then, at an age when most horses have a fairly established résumé, Galahad was informed it was time to enter the workforce.
He was understandably confused.
A year later, he has traded in the dad bod, learned that employment isn’t entirely terrible, and become one of our absolute barn favorites.
Galahad is SAFE SAFE SAFE for an intermediate rider. He may be green for his age, but he has an exceptionally good brain. When he doesn’t understand something, his reaction is generally “hmm, interesting” rather than choosing violence — and we love that about him.
He is kind, forgiving, sensible, and a total love bug. He’s happy to pop over small fences, but we think his real calling is as a dressage/flatwork partner. He’s comfortable, willing, and has been genuinely fun to develop.
Horse friends? Take ’em or leave ’em. Galahad is fairly certain he is a human trapped in a horse suit and would much rather hang out with his people.
At 15, he’s basically a 45-year-old man full of untapped potential, starting a new career in lieu of a midlife crisis.
Safe. Sane. Sweet. Low drama. Excellent napper.
Galahad isn’t looking to climb the corporate ladder overnight. He’s looking for his person — someone who appreciates a late bloomer stepping out of his Peter Pan syndrome, wants to continue his education, and sees the same potential in this soft-hearted gentleman that we do.
Galahad is ready to find his person and continue his very belated journey toward gainful employment. 🤍
