“Merida” is looking for her next partner to join with. She is an 18 year old grade quarter horse mare. She has been ridden English and over fences up to 3ft. She has been ridden western and on trails. Merida does best with an intermediate rider as she can anticipate cues and gets ahead of herself sometimes. She is the kind of horse that does best when ridden consistently a couple times a week. She is fun to ride, moves off leg very nicely. Walk/trot/canters both directions. She has been ridden very lightly the past 5 years due to owner being in college. Merida behaved like a dream on the ground. My small children handle her, brush her, turn her out on their own. Stands perfectly for the farrier, vet, baths. She stays fat off hay alone and is the cleanest horse I have ever had in the stall. Extremely low maintenance. She is the low mare on the totem with my herd. She is a great foal babysitter come weaning time. Overall a very kind mare. Ideally, she would enjoy someone that would love on her, ride a few times a week, or she would make an excellent trail horse. Don’t let her age deter you, she is built very nice and has many miles left on her. She has been well taken care of and deserves someone to give her one last forced home.
