If I had a nickel for every time someone has told me “that’s the way a quarter horse should be built” I’d be well on my way to having a dollar. We have owned Crawfish for 4 years and he is a truly exceptional horse. Crawfish is soft in the bridle, broke through his body and boy does this horse move PRETTY. Bridle him up and he’ll jog around, ask him to travel and he’ll move out as soon as you want to. Fish is all business and has been used extensively on the ranch to sort, doctor- he runs fast to cattle and rates well, been packed on overnight trips, used at snag and drag and head and heel brandings, been up to cow camp and easily navigated down timber and rough country, he has gathered and branded cattle in all sorts of weather and isn’t a stranger to long days in the saddle. Although he has been used primarily as a ranch horse this horse would excel in whatever direction you want to take him. He is an excellent fit for someone who appreciates a broke horse who is sensitive to your aids. We do not want to see him go to someone who’s green in the saddle, he would be the perfect fit for someone who enjoys a responsive horse that isn’t going to get you hurt. On the trail- in the show pen, on the ranch or otherwise. He is up to date on shots, teeth, and has clean x rays. His vices- he will sometimes fidget while tied up and walks away from you being caught every once in a while, other days he walks up to you.
