Regal is just as her name represents; a majestic, dapple grey mare standing 14.2 hands tall, and is built like a quarter horse. Regal was foaled 4/2/2021, is registered in the MFTHBA, and is sired by Mississippi Hammer by Jazz’s Jubilee by Southern Jazz and out of the mare Gunslingers Total Jazz by one of my all-time favorite stallions, Cardinal’s Gunslinger by The Cardinal. She has a pedigree packed with amazing horses carrying lineage that we love and have been riding and training for years. Regal is an absolutely stunning mare with perfect conformation, is full of personality, and loves human attention. She was born and raised in Mississippi and has been in our herd for 1 year. In that time, Regal has been an amazing student successfully excelling in the Fundamentals, Intermediate, and Advanced tasks through the Clinton Anderson methodology. She is very gentle, easy to catch, stands tied, stands for all grooming needs, farrier work, bathing, clipping, tacking, and will even lower her head on command to take a bit and put on or take off a bridle. Regal will stand great for mounting from the ground, will side pass over to obstacles to pick up her rider, or will even lay down for mounting. Under saddle she will ride off in a nice slow walk on a loose rein, will ride collected with a classy, rhythmic walk, and beautiful, natural foxtrot, and an incomparable canter. She has a light mouth and is responsive to the cues from her rider. She will pick up her correct leads every time she is asked and lopes circles like a quarter horse. Regal is even started on flying lead changes. She will neck rein or direct rein, side passes, yields her hind and forequarters, is started spinning, has a big stop, backs, and is athletic enough to do some amazing rollbacks! She will even ride bareback, double, and is trained well enough to ride without a bridle! You can also take this beautiful girl outside the arena and she is a great trail mount. She does well navigating rough terrain, crosses water, down timber, is very surefooted, goes up and down the steep grades while taking care of her rider and not rushing the situation, does well following the trail, and will ride out alone or with a group. In a group she doesn’t mind if she is the lead horse, stuck in the middle, or bringing up the rear. She is also experienced in riding down the gravel and county roads, is traffic safe, use to being around 4 wheelers, UTVs, and various farm machinery. On the ranch, she has been used checking/fixing fences, moving/pushing cattle, and checking heifers. Regal has also been through multiple desensitization sessions over the past year with all kinds of things that could possibly be scary such as balls, tarps, plastic bags, flags, inflatable tube men, leaf blowers, etc.
