Tommy Hawk is a stunning 4 and a half year-old (MFTHBA) registered, DNA’d, Missouri Foxtrotting trail gelding. Tommy Hawk has been with us since the day he was born for countless family moments. We owned his dam, sire, grandsire, etc. Tommy has been ridden by a variety of ages, from 3 to 83; most often by the 83-year-old, even bareback! With extensive trail-riding experience, Tommy Hawk has explored beautiful locations around the Ozark hills, plus 4th of July parades and carnivals, just to name a few. Tommy Hawk is not just a trail horse. He is a horse the whole family can enjoy. His gentle demeanor makes him fun to be around, enjoying things such as riding, bathing, playing, blowing him dry with a leaf blower, and countless other activities. This remarkable gelding is easy to mount and dismount. He stands patiently, waiting for your cue to move forward or back, making him an excellent choice for riders of all ages and skill levels. Tommy Hawk is safe, forgiving, and a joy to ride. Tommy Hawk will walk slowly on the trail with non-gaited horses, or he will flat-foot walk, moving right along. Tommy’s gait is smooth, with speeds averaging 8-10 miles per hour. His smooth gait is enjoyable all day. Tommy Hawk also has a comfortable canter. Riding Tommy Hawk is an experience you won’t forget. Tommy Hawk will load, haul, and unload effortlessly (even by little boys). He will stand patiently tied for hours. He is kind to other horses in the pasture, having always been with a herd. If he sees or hears you, he will greet you (usually at a fast run) at the gate! He has been desensitized to children playing, screaming around him, tarps, dogs, big trucks traveling loudly beside him on the interstate, parades, etc. We can’t think of much that has ever bothered him. On the trail, he will cross anything you ask of him. He will lead, go pleasantly in the middle alongside other horses, or calmly bring up the tail end. I believe it’s time for Tommy Hawk to find a forever home where he can keep thriving and create lasting memories with his new owner. He deserves a place to share his gentle spirit and exceptional abilities, and I’m confident he will be a beloved companion to whoever welcomes him into their life. If you’re looking for a reliable trail horse or a companion for your family, I encourage everyone to watch his video, come visit Tommy Hawk in Marshfield, MO, and try him out while he is listed on Thehorsebay.com.
