Alice is the jack of all trades, do it all mare! She's spent the past year out on the ranch, gathering cattle, roping and doctoring. She's got an excellent temperament, willing, and quiet, even with a bawling calf pulling behind her. She's traveled the high country and elsewhere to gather cattle, bring them back to the corrals to rope and drag them to the fire. She is currently in the barn adding to her resume with foundational arena work and suppling exercises. She is willing and smooth w/t/c. Alice came into the barn at the end of April to polish up her arena skills. Since then, she's not only been schooled at home, but been to her first local show. She can complete a pattern and trail class one handed in a shank bit. She is excellent at the show grounds with no drama or emotion exhibited. She would be really fun 4-H or local show option. Another fun story is taking Alice to go pick my daughter up in the school pick up line on the last week of school! We rode down the trails, which connect to our elementary school, ponying another mare for my daughter to ride. We entered the pick up line, grabbed my daughter and rode off together, getting the facebook proclaimed "coolest way to get picked up from school" award. Alice was totally good minded and level headed with all the cars and traffic and ponying my daughters horse. She is being sold as she doesn't have the "go all day" attitude to gather cattle and still have drive when they get back to the corrals. This is a great feature for anyone that doesn't want something with that much energy, but just doesn't work for her current owner! She would be happy to smell the flowers, push some cattle around, jog some circles and have someone brush her blond locks. Alice is easy to trailer, tie, fly spray, clip, and bathe. No mare-ish attitude and she's good to catch. She's tested 5 panel negative, current on vx and worming. PPE and x-rays are on file. Alice would be a great option for a trail or ranch rider to spend the next few decades with. She's also something you can envision your future taking her to your local shows and let your grandkids grow up on her. She's a greet you at the gate and snuggle kind of girl and would be happy to be anyone's golden princess. Her owner may consider PARTIAL trade for something with a little more umph to go get the ranch work done. Doesn't need to be broke, prefer something younger. 2-8 years old, must accomodate a 6'+ man. Will need to see pictures and video if trade is to be considered.
