Jitske is a kind, versatile gelding with respectable ground manners. He is easy to lunge, stands quietly to be mounted, ties, bathes, hauls well, and stands for the farrier. He is barefoot with solid feet (one benign hoof keratoma that has never affected his soundness).

Currently in full-time dressage training, Jitske had 30 days with a western trainer in Montana and was worked 2x a week prior to arriving to me. He does not yet have a US show record aside from upcoming schooling shows with AA riders in my program.
He rides western, english, and bareback. Schooling training level with an easy halt and rein back, he is straightforward on a loose or consistent contact. Jitske confidently crosses water, opens/closes gates, ponies, and exposed over a variety of obstacles. He has been ridden by kids, sorted cattle, and has mounted shooting exposure. Minimal spook, he is suited for an intermediate rider looking to compete or just have fun.
Jitske has been ridden off-site consistently in indoor and outdoor arenas, as well as on trails, and travels well to new environments. He is the same off property as he is at home. In your pocket type without being overbearing, he will meet you at the gate and happily follow you around. He is easy to handle on the trail and will WTC alone or in company. He is currently used in lessons with multiple students, ranging from youth to adult riders.
He is not barn or herd sour and has no dangerous habits. He is currently ridden in a 3-piece lozenge eggbutt bit, rope halter, and low port short shank, and goes well with or without spurs or a whip.
Imported from the Netherlands two years ago, Jitske is registered with KFPS. His current owner is in need of a partner with easier gaits.
