Straightforward and easy to ride bitless or in a snaffle, bareback or in a saddle.Goes down the trail or rides in the arena calmly in a group or by himself, walk-trot-canter on a loose rein or contact with a comfortable stride. He is a level-headed guy with very little spook. His ideal rider is an intermediate kiddo who wants a fun buddy to play around with! I've had five kids at once grooming and playing with him, he loves the attention and is hard to overstimulate. He also drives and has a pony cart. Have him in front shoes for working on hard roads when he's driving a lot, but can be barefoot. Not a good lead-line pony or for packing tiny or timid kids, as he can be forward and likes to be independent, and is not above pony mischief like dragging them to a patch of grass or sticking his head in the air for bridling. He will tolerate the occasional pony ride, but does not enjoy doing it as his main job. Priced low for a quick sale as well as his age (20) and the fact that he has Cushing's - needs 1/2 Prascend daily. I have too many horses right now and need to downsize. This guy is a family's gem.
