Second Chances aka George
8 year old 14.2 Lipazanner cross gelding. George came to us in late August 2025 as a rescue off the race track.He was being advertised as a kids pony, although his story runs a little deeper with evidence of abuse in his past. A very thorough PPE found that this sweet soul had been the subject of physical abuse/trauma. Remarkably his clinical exam was perfect, X-rays provided evidence that he had been shot multiple times by a BB gun. The scars on his body found after he was body clipped (Winter) tell a story only George knows. Over the course of the past 10 months we have rehabbed his trust in humans and retrained his body & mind. George is an example of how resilient a horse can be with kindness and understanding. He is now ready to move to his forever partner and home. He’s been to several schooling shows as well as XC schoolings. He’s really learning the ropes of trailering, travel, sleep over at horse show, hectic warm up arenas and life out and about.
Ideal Rider, would be someone with experience with continuing to develop George training and partnership. Patient, kind and a little pony crazy too. For the right person George is going to be a little Gem Heart Horse.
His Quality’s:
George is a gentleman on the ground, easy to handle, groom. Stands quietly for the vet and farrier. Straight forward shoeing. Loads and trailers well, stands quietly next to the trailer with a hay bag.
Very comfortable gaits. Like sitting on a cloud ☁️. He’s been introduced to trot poles,small jumps, water obstacles, trail rides. can be ridden alone or in a busy environment.
He’s would suit a rider with strong horse sense to continue his training in Working Equitation OSET, Pony Club, Dressage, Jumping & Eventing.
