Attention Iberian horse enthusiasts and those who don’t yet know that you are one! Meet Turbo, the epitome of a fun time. Turbo is a flashy young Andalusian gelding with fancy movement, sweet personality and a love to work attitude. This young lad has three beautiful and balanced gaits and is a forward thinking and moving horse all while remaining obedient and sensitive to the aids.
Turbo has had an uncompromisingly classical start under saddle over the past two years. His work has focused on balance, strength, suppleness, straightness and rideability. This boy is naturally talented and things come very easy to him. He is as light as a feather with excellent impulsion and agility and lacks any resistances in his body. He is soft to the aids and as willing a horse as you will find. He looks to his rider for guidance and is ready to move at the drop of a hat. Pair that with his intelligent brain and gentle nature and you’ve got yourself a horse!
Turbo truly could do just about any discipline as he is a true athlete. He has proven to be an excellent working equitation horse and could surely move up the levels quickly. He is already schooling level 4 and is only just beginning. His background has mainly been centered around a very strong basis of true classical dressage and he has proven to be more than up for the task. His first year was focused on leaving the neck as free as possible to allow him to find his natural balance with a priority put on not overloading the forehand. The work is slow and gradual and trains the horse to follow mainly the seat. The second year introduces the double bridle and focuses on flexions as well as continuing with vertical balance, flexibility and more precision. Turbo has done plenty of lateral work and finds it very easy (he is confirmed all lateral movements in walk and trot and schooling them in canter). He could easily go show this year in dressage competition and do well.
Turbo has excellent manners and is a pleasure to be around. He is easy to catch out in a big field. He loads, hauls and ties well. He is easy off property. He picks up feet and is good for the farrier. He lives out in a mixed herd and gets along great with other horses. He has no vices, is healthy, sound and full of life! This fun horse is truly ready for a competent rider to take him over as the sky is absolutely the limit with this one.
