Apache is a big, stout, beautifully made, bay and white spotted gelding standing 15.2 hands tall. He is registered in the Pleasure Saddle Horse Registry, foaled 6/20/2022 ,and is sired by the registered TWH stallion Carbon’s Rolling Dagger by Carbon’s Four Thousand by Silver’s Carbon by Silver Design and out of the MFT mare WY King’s Kiowa by Wyoming’s Kiowa King by Tuxedo CD by Coal Dust D. This is a great cross between TWH and MFT. We have been blessed to own this beautiful guy his entire life where we have been able to watch him grow from the sweetest baby to a stunning gentleman. Apache is extremely gentle and easy to handle. He stands tied, is hobble trained, stands for grooming, clipping, farrier work, bathing, and fly spray. He will stand to be mounted from the ground, will side pass over to various obstacles to ease in mounting while out on the trails, or will even lay down on command to be mounted. Apache has been ridden mainly by our daughter over the last 3 years where she has taken him on numerous camping trips, trail rides, and short rides around the house. Apache is gentle enough for most riders. but is no dead head. This guy is stout made and has stamina to last all day. He will walk slow on a loose rein when asked, will ride collected and has a very smooth fast walk and running walk that he can stay in consistently for miles, has a great canter and will pick up his leads on cue, lopes circles great, has a good stop, and an excellent reverse. Apache will neck rein or direct rein, will ride bareback, packs saddle bags, will ride double, works off his rider’s leg well side passing, yielding his hind quarters, and forequarters. He does great riding down the gravel and county roads, is 100% traffic safe, is use to riding around 4 wheelers, UTVs, and various types of farming machinery. He will ride out alone or with a group of horses. When in a group, he doesn’t mind if he is a lead horse, in the middle, or bringing up the rear. Apache has miles and miles of trail experience, crosses water without hesitation, crosses down timber, and navigates steep and rocky terrain wonderfully. He is easy to load and trailers well and has been through numerous obstacle courses that he navigates perfectly. On the ranch, he has been used checking/fixing fences, moving/pushing cattle, and checking heifers. Apache has also been through multiple desensitization sessions over the years with all kinds of things that could possibly be scary such as balls, tarps, plastic bags, flags, inflatable tube men, leaf blowers, etc. Apache has also been used at our county fair parking cars. The chaos of the fair, rides, thousands of people, and loud figure 8 races have never been a bother for him!
