Dunker is truly a one-of-a-kind animal! Check out this loud colored buckskin gelding standing 15.2 hands tall. Dunker was foaled on 7/24/2022 and is registered in the Walkaloosa Horse Association. Dunker was foaled by a good friend in Illinois and is sired by the TWHBEA stallion Gold Edition’s Dusty by Generator’s Gold Edition by Gold Generator and out of a foundation bred appaloosa mare. We brought Dunker home when he was just 6 months old and this beautiful boy has been with us his entire life. We have been privileged to be his only owner outside of his breeder. In the 4 years Dunker has been with us, he has been able to learn and grow in a professional training environment receiving age-appropriate training through every stage! Horses with his uniqueness and this level of foundation and professional training are not offered frequently as they take years to make! Dunker is gentle and easy to handle and is usually waiting at the gate for you to catch him. He stands tied perfectly, stands to all grooming, farrier work, bathing, clipping, tacking, and even drops his head on command for taking a bit and putting on the bridle or taking it off. Dunker has had countless hours of groundwork over the years excelling in the Clinton Anderson method. He can complete all tasks in the Fundamental, Intermediate, and Advanced exercises giving his next owner a solid foundation to rely on! Dunker stands for mounting, will side pass over to objects to pick up his rider, and will even lay down for mounting! Dunker will walk out calmly on a loose rein with a relaxing flat foot walk, has the best movement and headshake in a running walk that I have yet to see in a Walkaloosa, has the most amazing canter, and a huge sliding stop. Dunker neck reins or direct reins, works amazingly well off the riders leg, will side pass, yield his fore quarters and hind quarters, is started spinning, picks up his correct leads every time, lopes perfect circles, is started on flying lead changes, backs, and will ride with just a war bridle! Out on the trail, you will not find a better young horse in the rough country. I think he is literally half billy goat! He is the most sure-footed horse ever, he pays great attention to where he places his feet, and is amazing at using his whole body through the steep terrain. He is already experienced on the trail leading, riding in the middle, and at the end of the pack when riding with a group or will ride out alone. He crosses water, down timber, ditches/ravines, and will climb up or down anything you point him at! He is great at loading, hauling, and unloading. Dunker is also use to riding down the gravel and county roads. He is traffic safe, is use to 4 wheelers and UTVs, and being ridden around other types of farm machinery. Dunker has been around our ranch checking/fixing fences, working cattle, moving cow/calf pairs, and ponying young horses as well.
