Dumas is a drool worthy, gorgeous, dark buckskin gelding standing 15.1 hands tall. Dumas was foaled on 4/22/2021, is registered in the MFTHBA, and is a perfect match to his little brother Amos! He is sired by Jubilee’s Silver Solomon who currently stands at Seiner-Glaser Stables, by Baron’s Jubilee by Perfection’s Baron Star and out of the mare Buttons and Lace LJ owned by our late, dear friend Larry Schenewerk who is sired by the stallion I’m Billy The Kid by He’ll Be Entertainment. For those who knew Larry, this cross was well thought out with the goal of bringing out the best qualities possible of the breed and Dumas is a half-brother to our other gelding Amos Moses. This is an amazing gelding with a pedigree packed with old lines. Here is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity as we are offering, for the first time ever, a perfectly matched, buckskin pair of half-brothers, who are registered MFTs as a potential his and her pair! We have been honored to own and train this beautiful boy since he was a yearling and have been his only owner outside of his breeder. In those 4 years, Dumas has been able to learn and grow in a professional training setting for his entire life receiving age-appropriate training through every stage! Horses with this level of foundation and professional training are not offered every day! Dumas has the best, loving personality and is always curious about what his human is doing! He is very gentle, easy to handle, and easy to catch. He stands tied great, stands for all tacking and grooming needs, does great with the farrier, bathing, clipping, and mounting. Dumas will also side pass over to obstacles to make mounting easier for his rider. Dumas is the kind of horse you can throw your tack on, step into the saddle and hit the trail without any worries. He will walk off slow and relaxed on a loose rein, he neck reins or direct reins, will ride collected, backs, side passes, and yields his hind and forequarters. He has a beautiful, smooth walk, a great ground-covering running walk, will fox trot, and has a canter to die for! He has been through desensitization lessons his entire life with all kinds of things that could possibly be scary such as balls, tarps, plastic bags, flags, inflatable tube men, leaf blowers… you name it! Dumas rides great down the gravel and county roads and will do so alone or with a group of horses. When in a group he will ride as the lead horse or will fall in the middle or the back of the pack without any hassle. He is confident and not spooky, traffic safe, use to 4 wheelers, UTVs, and farm machinery. Dumas also has extensive trail experience where he knows how to navigate challenging footings, steep terrain, crosses water, down timber, and is a horse you can trust when the trail gets rough!
