*Rare HYPOALLERGENIC Curly Missouri Fox Trotter* All photos including her just bathed conformation photos. https://imemilygreen.pixieset.com/journey/ Trainers comments: Journey is a very special horse that will make the right person an exceptional equine partner for many years. She has good conformation, is sound, has an exceptional lateral gait & a great temperament. She is friendly but not pushy, sensitive & light but not over reactive & is very trainable. She was started slowly & intentionally with her workload increased systematically so as to prevent premature physical breakdown. I have decades of experience training professionally & worked with my first gaited horse nearly 25 years ago. I have worked with most of the gaited breeds & Journey is one of my favorites. She is a versatile horse that would excel in a number of different jobs. While she is still in her seasoning & developing stage, she has a good foundation & is consistently becoming a more confident & solid horse. Journey is naturally sensitive & aware & needs a person who is as well. I try to leave a lot of the horse’s natural sensitivity in them, which results in a light & responsive horse, but it also means they can get confused or frustrated by someone who isn’t soft & consistent in their cues. Journey has never shown any inclination to buck & while sensitive & aware, she is also thoughtful & sensible. Journey has been developed with a blend of western & classical exercises & has had a balance of arena & outside work. She has had many miles on trails & cross country & is becoming quite sure footed. She has been exposed to hikers, mountain bikes, 4-wheelers & vehicles on roads, handling them all with little or no reaction in most cases. Her gait is truly one of the most natural lateral gaits I’ve worked with. She is smooth & truly a pleasure to ride. Owners comments: Clint Surplus is a gentle, kind trainer & the best trainer I've ever worked with in my 50 + years of horse ownership. Journey was started by Clint Surplus of Bend, OR 2 years ago. Predominately ridden western. However she was ridden English by a friend for a month out on the trails. My daughter rides her out on the trails western. May 4th, 2026 Journey stared full time training with Clint & is currently at his barn. Journey has just finished her 3 months in full time training. She has learned so much. She is calm and confident. I have just paid for her 4th month. Her price may change if she stays after August. Selling Journey is a difficult decision. She's for sale due to my daughter’s change in location. Journey’s dearly loved & is truly the nicest horse I've owned & I've had many. Journey, stands quietly for hoof trims, shoeing, grooming, worming & shots. She loads easily, hauls quietly, clips, & bathes. Her favorite pasture friend is a 31" mini. Current on Coggins, dental, deworming, & hoof care with new shoes. PPE at buyers expense.
