Retired Standardbred Gelding
20 year old trotting horse looking for a retirement home! This fella is an easy keeper that would make for an ideal pasture companion. “Royal Eagle” has faithfully served the current owner since 2011 as a buggy horse. He’s got every characteristic of a tried and true standardbred. They’ve asked us to assist in rehoming him to keep him from landing in a kill pen.
He’s sound in the pasture, stands well for the farrier and has good feet. No known health issues besides some stiffness from age and wear in the rear end which can be noticeable after resting still. Keeps weight easily. He’s not been ridden. Papers included. Visitations are limited but we will happily assist in answering questions as honestly as we can to make sure he’s the right fit for you.
