I'm looking to rehome my Dunskin Quarter Horse mare Willa. She's aged about 6 years old and has had one unexpected colt in April 2023. She's gone through a lot of training the past few years, but besides basic groundwork and handling, has been out on pasture since April 2024 as I just don't have the time she needs and deserves. She's still quite green and is a more nervous, watchy girl who really needs someone to bond with and to help build her confidence. She was green broke to ride but has been sitting been since April 2024, so she will need someone to start her over again. She's had a lot of ground work including showmanship. Halter broke, leads, loads (not the easiest), ties. UTD on vaccines, deworming, farrier (barefoot), and recently had her teeth floated. She's 100% sound, no issues. Very sweet and well mannered girl. Can be mareish with other horses at times, but generally does well in herd setting. I adore this girl and am dreading doing this, but feel it's best for her to have someone with enough time to work with her most days.
