Oak is a 2023 model APHA gelding by none other than painted Turnpike by PYC PAINT YOUR WAGON and out of an OAK TREE SPECIAL mare. Oak stands 15.1-2 and is the total package. He’s smart, kind, quick, powerful, athletic and an absolutely lover boy.
Oak was raced on the track winning a total of $5,841 with 8 starts. He was trained by Matt Whitekiller and I was told he was one of the favorites. After racing, Oak retired SOUND and since then been re-started and showing promise to be an amazing barrel or jumping horse. He is a pleasure to have around the barn, easy going, has a good head on his shoulders, trailers bathes easily, stands to be saddled, isn’t pushy at feeding time, and is extremely eager to learn and happy to loved on. He has seen cows and didn’t have anything to say about them. I have taken to a few arena to ride around but have not yet started him on the pattern which means he is a clean slate and pattern YOUR way. He is currently learning to yield to your leg, keep even circles, etc.
Oak is currently shoed all around and sells with a NEGATIVE coggins. Papers and transfer are in hand and ready to go. Offering him at high x,xxx till the end of June. He will be ridden at least one night in the Bogata rodeo grand entry at the end of the month. I will be going to Amarillo mid July for equine dental school and will haul him there for the price of diesel. His price WILL increase with added training.
