Meet Mack. Registered Kentucky Mountain horse. 6 yr old 15.1 hands, campaign palomino with chrome. Very sweet personality, easy to catch and handle, very soft, responsive and willing when working on the ground or in the saddle. If you are looking for a calmer, more laid back, steady eddy type with a great temperment and personality, Mack is your guy. (If you are looking for a faster hyper type horse - Mack is NOT what you are looking for.) Will go anywhere you point him and cross anything. Doesn't mind mud. Will lead or follow. Rides fine in a group or alone. Can ride with quarter horse or gaited. Direct and neck nein. Nice slower type gait and comfortable to ride. Really has good heart/grit and plenty of endurance to carry his rider through all terrains all day, but is not hot or antsy. Trained to "come to the mounting block" and stands quietly for mounting. Has trail ridden many places through big South Fork, etc. Overnight camps. Always settles in quietly and keeps a clean stall. Not a picky eater, holds his weight well. Excellent for the farrier. Stands nicely for grooming, saddling, bathing etc. He gets along with pasture mates and is more toward the lower end of the pecking order. Loads and unloads like a dream, slant or straight. Respectful of fences and will stay in a strand of hot wire. Does not mind dogs riding along on the trails by him. Used to four wheelers traffic etc. UTD on vet work, coggins, etc. Not trying to just sell a horse..Trying to find my trusted trail partner a new home that will be a good match for him. My mother is 100 yrs old and requiring more care now days. I am just not able to ride as much I would like, and he is too good of a horse to just sit. Price negotiable to the right home. Call for more info and with any questions. See video here: https://youtu.be/J8G1asa_qMY
