MRMETALLICCOLONEL is a 2026 palomino roan stud colt by Metallic Huckleberry, son of Metallic Cat and out of a money-earning mare, and out of Colonelssmokinginger, granddaughter of Colonel Freckles. Colonelssmokinginger had fairly extensive cow/cutting horse training and was shown in local cutting and reined cowhorse shows. This mare has a kind and easy demeanor to her. Her previous two foals have gone on to roping and ranching families.
Metallic Huckleberry’s progeny are excelling in the show pen, roping, and outside.
We expect this colt to mature over 15 hands. He is 6-panel negative and carries one copy of the cream and roan gene via parentage. He is eligible for NRCHA incentives and will be paid in if the buyer desires. He is smart, catty, and sure to turn heads! Turned out on a hill where he learns to use his feet and cross a creek. We would love to see him go to a performance home- reined cow horse, roping, etc. He should have some speed and cow sense. He will be halter broke and ready to go to his new home at weaning time.
