I bought Gerald a few years ago. I think I'm his second home. He was raised with nothing but kindness from the man I bought him from. He has been nothing but sweet, loving and easy going for me. He is easy to handle and he loves to sing the song of his ppl. He is certainly large enough to train to be a riding donkey. I have not i have only had him as an adorable pet. He loves to escort me on my walks through the woods and fallows me every where. He comes when I yell for him. He is a gentleman. I've bred him to a mare once (she is 14.2 h) and they produced an absolutely stunning molly, who at a year of age is taller than her dam! The molly came out sweet, friendly and fearless from day one. I have come down with some health issues and have to rethink things and make changes. If it was not for that I'd never consider selling him. He has the best temperament and i adore him.
