Talon is a sound, barefoot, athletic Arabian with an exceptionally smooth trot and canter and a puppy-dog personality. He loves attention, enjoys having a job to do, and is incredibly easy to catch. He's the kind of horse who meets you at the gate and enjoys being part of whatever you're doing.
After having time off, Talon is currently in a professional restart program and is progressing steadily under saddle. He is confidently working at the walk, trot, and canter, with additional videos coming soon as his training continues. He responds well to both English and Western cues and is exceptionally light and sensitive in the mouth, making him a rewarding ride for someone who appreciates responsiveness and feel. He is naturally athletic with expressive movement and has remained sound throughout his life. His health care is up to date with routine vaccinations, deworming, and hoof care.
On the ground, Talon is a true gentleman with excellent manners. Through consistent natural horsemanship and liberty work, he continues to develop softness, confidence, and partnership. He is happiest when he has a job to do, enjoys learning, and remains level-headed and dependable in his work.
Talon has previous trail experience and has been exposed to traffic, water crossings, logs, tarps, and hauling. He trailers exceptionally well, stands quietly for the farrier, and continues to demonstrate a willing attitude as his fitness and consistency return.
