Prince is a registered 5yr old Friesian Morgan Gelding standing at 16.1 hands tall. He both Rides & Drives! Prince is a pretty level headed guy that’s a blast out on the trails as he will go anywhere you point him and he’s just a pleasure to ride. And he’s like a one owner car we know his entire history so no unknowns here you get his whole story. If I had to use one word to describe Prince it would be Level-Headed… Prince is in your pocket. He’s always the first one to greet me at the gate. He gets along well with the other horses he’s middle of the pecking order. He crosses creeks, bridges, big logs, and the river! He’s seen all sorts of wildlife out on the trails and nothing seems to phase him. He’s used to riding with a doggy sidekick that comes popping in and out of the brush behind him and at his sides. So I would say he’s not easily spooked. He moves off of your leg. He has a smooth trot that’s easy to post or sit to. He also has a nice canter that is fun and easy to sit to. He will leave home alone just fine and separates away from the other horses out on the trails. And he’ll go right up or down those steep hills like it was nothing. He loads right up in the trailer and backs right out and hauls good. Stands great for the farrier and gets the hot shoe treatment. Stands good for tacking and mounting. He is NOT hot, but he’s not a deadheaded Quarter horse either. He’s right in between at medium. If you ride him consistently he actually does get a little lazy and on the slow side, but he’s still a young horse so if you don’t ride him consistent the first ride or two he’ll move out a little faster but again he is NOT hot he’ll walk if you want him to walk. So he’s very safe he has NEVER offered to do anything dangerous or mean. You can tighten up both cinches nice and snug after he’s sat for a little bit and ride off just fine alone away from home he’s very safe that way. He’s NOT a spooky horse, but he will look at the big odd things besides the road but that’s all he does is look at it. If you let him sit and don’t work him consistently he will spook at traffic and by spooking he will step to the side quick and watch the traffic coming at him directly from the front or from behind. He drives fine and is controllable, but he does need an experienced driver. So overall Prince is a blast to ride out on the trails and has a very level head. He’s fine with deer jumping out in front of him. He’ll go down the steep hills right into the river and cross it like it was nothing. He doesn’t care about the other horses and will separate away from them on the trails and ride off on his own. He has fun smooth easy to sit to gaits. Knows how to move off of your leg and does a little side pass. Prince has proved his weight in gold with how level headed he is. I’ve had him in a couple of situations that most horses would freak out about but Prince has proved time and time again how level headed he is. Just call if interested 231-670-7101
