Muffin is a green broke unbranded Mustang who was started November 2025 and progressed very quickly with no buck, rear, or bolt. Within 15 rides he was willingly moving forward (walk, trot, canter) and jumping. He has since been ridden consistently by an experienced rider.

Muffin is a nice mover and has been ridden in an indoor and outdoor arena both English and Western. Has been lightly ridden in an open field. He is a pretty jumper and currently jumping up to 2 feet. He is easy to catch in the field, picks up all four feet, stands tied under supervision, and cautiously stands for the farrier.

Muffin is doing very well but green broke and not for a beginner. He would be great for a small adult or experienced child. In his new home he would need further training and someone who is confident in the saddle and on the ground.

Muffin was born in the wild but captured when too young to brand. In the holding facility he was separated from his mother. So that he could get more individual care, the BLM gave him to the Meeker Mustang Makeover. He was taken in by a rescue where he was bottle fed and around lots of people/animals, but sat with no training. In 2024, he moved to his current situation where he was snuggled in the field but not handled. In fall 2025, a trainer decided to help handle and start him.

Muffin is short, stout, and an easy keeper. He has a sweet personality and has made incredible progress in a very short time. He has a very calm and reasonable demeanor. With a little work, he will turn into an amazing horse partner.
