Turnpikers Wagon gelding out of an Okey Dokey Dale mare. This gelding is well broke with about 8 months under saddle. He was started on the barrel pattern. Ridden inside and outside the arena. Hauls well. Gentle and quiet minded. He’ll be the type to make a versatile horse for everyone - go check cows in the morning, run the barrel race in the afternoon, then rope a few stragglers in the evening. He’s got the mind for it all. You could probably even put him over some jumps or show him in the dressage ring! He stands about 15.2/15.3hh currently with still room to grow.
He is futurity and incentive eligible. Paid into or eligible for numerous barrel horse incentives. His sire is a stallion from Fallon Taylor’s barrel racing program.
The only issues he has… he needs a bone chip removed from one hock. It is an easy, uncomplicated surgery. Requires some rest and recovery afterwards. A good situation with winter coming up. He should absolutely have a performance career and the prognosis is very high!
