I have had my horse Doc since he was 4. He was a rescue horse. I did the training and coaching myself. The past 6 years I have done a variety of things with him. I competed in High School Rodeo with Idaho District Nine for 2 years in Barrel Racing and Pole Bending with Doc. The fastest times we got were a 20.8 on the barrels and a 22.4 on the poles. I have also done a couple small jumping competitions on him. I also did one rodeo queening competition for fun and he did just fine. He would really be a great all around horse and has lots of potential. He is built to be a cutting horse and I'm sure he's athletic enough to do it (he would just need some extra training in reining movements). He's a really good athletic horse and an easy keeper as well. He knows to run the patterns and come out of the patterns calm and relaxed. He's also good about knowing his rider and knowing their confident and skill levels. He'd be best for an intermediate rider wanting to compete or a lesson/leisurely horse for anyone. He does have a clubbed right front hoof but we've done corrective shoeing and trimming and he's still incredibly athletic despite that. Please reach out with offers and any other questions!
