Pippin is looking for his person. Cute as a button, he's ready for someone who will spend time with him and who appreciates his quirks. At 3 he's ready to go in any direction. Since owning him we've moved slowly - working on leading, spatial awareness, speed adjustment, and strengthening. He is fairly fearless, showing bravery and inquisitiveness. He has been on trails and is happy to take the lead. He does all of the working equitation obstacles - going over the bridge his first try, he has been unfazed by the garrocha and bull. So far we have only worked on walk and trot while he improves his balance and strength. We have cantered a few times and his canter is VERY smooth. This little guy is a character and therefore not for beginners or children. I think in a few years he could be suitable for that, but as an active 3 year old he needs someone who is patient and consistent. I believe he will do well in Working Equitation, endurance, and trail riding. We have not jumped yet. He came to me going Western. I ride him in an English saddle. Good in a stall. Good out alone or with others. Loves to be groomed. Stands in cross ties. Trailers well. Bathes. Good for farrier. Has excellent feet and goes barefoot. More photos and video on request.
