“Papaya” has a heart of gold, he would sell you his soul for a cookie! He is a beautiful mover with incredible ground manners! Papaya will go out by himself or in a group. When you let him lead he loves to choose new paths and explore new places! He is so brave and adventurous on the trail! Papaya will work walk, trot, canter in the arena, but he seems to get bored with the monotony of it. He is more mentally stimulated and happier on the trail. I could definitely see him having a future in arena work and showing if you find something that excites him. For example; cow work, ranch classes, or extreme/competitive trail riding. I’ve trail ridden him everywhere nearby and hauled him to Sonoita to various trails multiple times. He acts the exact same way at home as he does when you haul him out! He’s gone under bridges, through herds of cows, directly next to or under cars going 45mph+. It takes quite a lot to scare this courageous boy! He’s happy to trail ride for 4+ hours, this amazing horse has the stamina to take you the distance! With full transparency in mind, in the past he would throw an excited buck during the first canter of the day. He has improved tremendously, and all of our rides have been without bucks recently. He will stay in training until he is sold.
