Skipper has been lightly started under English tack and has the movement to be a hunter. He is calm and willing in the arena with both saddle and bridle. He will walk, trot, turn, stop, back up and walk over poles. He’s also been trail ridden bareback in a halter and will stand quietly while you shoot a bow from his back.
Skipper is large enough for a small adult to ride but has also been ridden by kids. He is still green so not ready to be completely ridden by a beginner. He stands for the farrier, clips, bathes, etc. He’s been exposed to dogs, machinery, and loud noises. Lives turned out 24/7 on pasture with a gelding herd but does well turned out with mares as well. He should mature to be a large medium.
