Shezadual Cashnhoney ("Sedona") is a 2022 AQHA buckskin mare standing 14.2 hands with an exceptional mind, a solid foundation, and the kind of real-world experience that's difficult to find in a young horse. She is very sweet and gentle! No buck.
She was started correctly as a 3-year-old and has had approximately a year of consistent riding in both the arena and on our family's working cattle ranch. She is soft in the face, responsive to seat and leg pressure, picks up both correct leads, side passes, opens gates, and spent several months going in the hackamore. She has also had a handful of cow horse lessons to further her education.
Sedona has been exposed to and confidently handled:
25-mile cattle drives
Gathering, sorting, and shipping cattle
Crossing highways, creeks, and mountain terrain
Dragging objects with a rope
Tracking a roping dummy and roping small calves
Brandings, smoke, tractors, ATVs, and busy ranch environments
Wildlife including elk, wild turkeys, pigs, and dogs
She stands quietly for saddling, bridles easily, bathes, loads and backs out of a stock trailer with ease, and is fairly easy to catch. She has remained barefoot during my ownership with excellent feet requiring no special maintenance. She has a sweet disposition, is not overly mare-ish, and has even been ridden around the barnyard by my younger sister.
She is fit and well-conditioned from regular arena work combined with mountain riding and hill work.
